therapy

who I am

I am a Gestalt trained therapist who supports individuals and groups to live their lives to the fullest. To this work I bring first-hand knowledge of being a first-generation immigrant to the UK, and feel culturally competent to work with both difference and similarity. And as a member of the LGBTQ+ community who is also neurodivergent, my work is underpinned by my own experiences. I aim to create a space in my therapeutic practice where clients can bring their full selves without having to leave parts of themselves at the door.

how I work

Together, we can work to help you better understand what kind of life you want to be living and assist you in making that a reality. Through our therapeutic relationship I work to help you raise awareness. Together, we will discover a better understanding of your body and how your feelings manifest. We will work to help you understand how you are impacted by the world and in turn how you impact it.  I encourage creativity in my practice, you are encouraged to show up as you are, and together we can look at what is emerging and make sense of it.

my training and approach

I have a postgraduate degree in Gestalt psychotherapy. I also bring over a decade’s experience in social justice movements. For the last 8 years my work has focused on trauma work specifically in the fields of sexual abuse and drugs and alcohol. I work relationally using what is happening between us to help you make sense of what happens while relating to others.

I am particularly interested in exploring how you are in the world, and how the world is with you. I want to understand how relationships on a micro and macro level affect you. I work relationally because we all live relationally. My aim is to create a space for you to understand what you need so you can access it in your everyday life.

my specialist areas

I am able to work with people who are:
- Struggling with Depression and Anxiety
- Survivors/Victims of Sexual and Domestic Violence
- Neurodivergent: specialising in Autisim and ADHD
- Practicing Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM, Polyamoury, Open Relationships)
- Adult survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA)
- Immigrants or folks who have a history of immigration.

my values

You have the key and the answers to what you know needs to come next for your healing and growth. My role is to support you to access those keys that can get misplaced in a busy and demanding world. I work by respecting your autonomy in a non-judgemental way.

where I work

Currently my work is online. This helps me keep my prices at lower levels and allows for me to have a sliding scale. I charge starting at 60 (income dependant) for a 55-minute session. I also offer some subsidised places when I have availability and depending on circumstance.

If you are interested in finding out more, get in touch to book a free 20-minute introductory telephone session. You can request this via the contact form here: leaving your email, name and number and I will get back to you.

I am a member of  The National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists
